| Quarter | Q3: January – March |
| Are you on track for the grant deliverables? | Yes |
| What challenges are you having in undertaking the activities, and will you be able to get it on track by the end of the grant term (June 30)? | Heavy snow caused school closures, with lack of hands-on time. Additionally, Noel administration changed the school schedule in January without notifying the museum’s educator. All high school students now attend classes with Blue Ridge Behavioral Health. Only 8th graders are left with a mentor for a class block. The 8th graders are good kids, and respond well to Jennifer. We have veered back into on track territory, and have created a positive plan moving forward, thanks to the help of Bryce Cobbs, David Massey, and the engaged 8th grade class at Noel. Field trips with the school will help push the community & rooted aspect, and the 8th graders are making strides toward understanding their goals, and how they can achieve these through family and their community. It’s taken us a little bit of time, but we’re finally on track with what we initially began to do. |
