We have pivoted yet again with the Noel C. Taylor group, and now have a different game plan (and possibly a better one) to complete the deliverables outlined in the original grant. Instead of relying solely on the kids in attendance at Noel, which is ever evolving with disinterested, angry, and uncommunicative students, we’re changing the project to include Roanoke muralist and artist Bryce Cobbs to create original artwork in collaboration with the students that are engaged and responsive. The project will still reflect their community, their lives, what’s important to them, and how they feel they’re rooted in Roanoke based off responses they mention in the games played during class.
