Fairy Fest: Build a Magical Community!

Molly Kernan | instagram.com/_mollymakesart_

Make connections with neighbors and tap into your creativity by building a fairy neighborhood. Artist Molly Kernan will guide participants in building unique fairy houses with foraged and found materials over the course of four two-hour workshops. To celebrate the finished artwork, participants will display the houses in a natural setting of their choice in their neighborhood and welcome neighbors to enjoy the magic of creating art and community through nature.

Participants: Five to 15 participants – adults and youth ages eight and up with parents
Ages: All
Value: $700.00
Requirements: Please provide space inside or outside as well as electricity for hot glue for a couple of the meet-ups. Due to the use of natural materials, the building process can get a bit messy, so keep that in mind! A great way to prepare is to encourage participants to collect objects such as twigs, acorns, leaves, rocks and other found objects that would make good building materials. Perhaps they have an old teapot sitting in storage, a plastic bottle with a great shape and size, or a well-worn rain boot. They can be encouraged to bring these along for the fairy village!
