How many people participated in your activity?20
Please describe the outcomes of your activity. What did you learn? What made you the most proud of the effort?

I was so impressed with how many people wanted to participate and spent a decent amount of time creating really cool pieces. I was inspired by the fairy houses I was seeing, everyone took home something to be proud of. It held the kids attention really well, but also got several adults into a creative head space too. I learned that the younger crowd responded really well to the clay houses that gave them a head start on putting it aall together, I think it was easier for them to visualize how it would come together. The older children were able to handle the other concept with the sticks and bark really well and the adults got the hang of that design too, so I have a better idea of how to gear this activity to different groups. I’m really proud that everyone seemed to find enjoyment in this particular project, sometimes it’s difficult to find something that’s fun for all ages and this seemed like a hit with everyone that gave it a try.

From your perspective, what would be a good next step for the neighborhood in building engagement and momentom?

I think doing this small taster event at the library was a great move. I chatted with a few people expressing interest in doing this event with their neighborhood and I was able to get that information to them. They were happy to have a small example to take with them so their neighbors have an idea of what this workshop offers.
