Please describe the outcomes of your activity. What did you learn? What made you the most proud of the effort? | I learned to be SURE of what the water source is for this activity. Although I was told the fire truck would fill my water barrel at 3 pm, they got called away and didn’t return until 6 pm. This caused me to be in a terrible rush throughout the activity to have stepping stones prepped for the families. Once again, I was impressed how neighbors did not contemplate taking their creation with them and had total buy in to the stones being placed near Mother McCadden’s sign as symbolic of continuing her great works in neighborhoods. Our youngest daughter recently moved home with us. She is still processing the loss of her stillborn child. She came to the event and made a stone with her daughter’s name “Aaliyah” and felt the placement of the stone in her grandmother’s namesake park was symbolic of Mother McCadden watching over her.
I was also appreciative of Robyn Mitchell coming and lending her support and also for MRNF members pitching in to load and unload truck.
