I learned that people love getting their portraits painted with their loved ones. I’m so proud that I got to be a part of such a lovely event where people got to meet their police officers and eat good food and celebrate the end of the summer. I also particularly enjoyed the live music- Roanoke has some really wonderful musicians.

Do more of these events! I felt a good sense of connection between people attending and running the event. Also McCadden Park is such a nice place- more events should happen there.
