Create a mural (as shown in attachment A) on the support wall of the 10th Street Bridge, NW on the Lick Run Greenway as it runs through Brown Robertson Park.
Adjustment: Extend the mural to cover the tagged and covered spots along the ‘wings’s of the mural space, extending the mural on both sides of the bridge support wall.

Project Dates: Begin the project by August 2024 and complete it over the following two months pending weather. Complete the project by September 30.

Volunteer participation. Provide a list of volunteer opportunities for promotion in the Roanoke Arts Commission newsletter. Orchestrate community participation opportunities through online sign ups on www.signupgenius.com and/or through close partnership with neighborhood youth-serving organizations. Each session will be capped at 5 volunteers maximum and require a City volunteer waiver form for each participant or from the group.. The sessions will be approximately 2-3 hours each. Total volunteer hours will be reported to city staff.

Anti-graffiti coating: Apply an anti-graffiti coating once complete.

Invoicing: The cost of the mural will be paid in full upon invoicing to support purchase of materials.

Signage: Work with the City of Roanoke and to develop, and allow the placement of, signage on the mural to recognize the funding sources and promote murals in the city.
The City will provide normal and customary maintenance of the mural and every part thereof, including, but not limited to, any necessary cleaning, removal of graffiti, and touch up for a period of ten years. The mural may be replaced with another mutually agreed upon design or coverage.
Promotion: Coordinate marketing of the effort with the Roanoke Arts Commission and Pathfinders for Greenways. Acknowledge the City of Roanoke, Pathfinders for Greenways, and the Roanoke Arts Commission with funding through the Percent for Art fund in any media releases and promotions.
Celebration: Coordinate with Pathfinders for Greenways, the Roanoke City Council and Roanoke Arts Commission (through the arts and cultural coordinator) for any planned celebration of the project.
License to use copyrighted materials and trademark rights: All parties, including the City and Pathfinders for Greenways and Roanoke Valley Greenways, have the indefinite right to use images of the signage in normal promotion, educaion, and marketing. Full rights remain with the artist.
Reporting: Within a week of project conclusion, the artist will complete a simple post-event report at https://roanokearts.org/event-report/ to include pictures, volunteer counts, participant quotes, and outcomes.
The artist will make at least one presentation on the project to gatherings of artists and or neighborhood supporters during or after the process.

Funds will be returned if the project is not completed by May 31, 2025.
