Repairing Is Caring: A Sewing Alterations and Mending Workshop

In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn hand stitching and machine techniques to mend or alter your own clothing. Participants will repair holes, lengthen or shorten a sleeve, and change a neckline on a garment. Techniques learned can be applied to other garments. And, who knows, you might even decide to set up regular neighborhood clothing repair events.

Participants: Six to eight individuals or pairs of people
Ages: 12+
Value: $600.00
Requirements: Please provide table space, chairs, and electricity for eight sewing machines and a small workspace beside the machines for ironing.
