» Fall Artists’ Series

The Roanoke Arts Commission invites regional artists to a seasonal online series designed to strengthen networking and submission opportunities. Through ongoing initiatives such as the artists’ series, the Roanoke Arts Commission aims to:

  • catalyze the engagement of artists in the public sphere and

Why are we doing this again? Good question.  We’ll get specific. Our goals include the following:

1. Strengthen the region’s network of visual and performing artists

2. Connect emerging and established artists with each other and community institutions (including the encouragement of artists on boards and committees)

3. Increase the number of local calls for work (public and private) each year

4. Increase the number of submissions (and successful submissions) of regional artists for local calls.
